Looking to kick-start your career?
Our Early Careers programmes are designed for those who are excited about the London specialty insurance market and are eager to build a career in the industry. As a joint venture between DXC Technology, Lloyd's and the IUA, Velonetic sits at the centre of the market, connecting people, processes, data and services. There has never been a better time to join us.
Graduate programme
Our two-year programme is designed to launch your career with real impact. You'll gain hands-on experience within your chosen business area, plus a three-month secondment in your second year to broaden your perspective. You'll receive support to achieve relevant professional qualifications and benefit from the guidance of a senior-level sponsor committed to your development.
Applications for our graduate programme will open soon for a September 2027 start.
There is a four-stage application process:
Stage 1: Online application form and CV submission
Stage 2: Pre-recorded video interview
Stage 3: Live interview via Microsoft Teams
Stage 4: Final stage assessment centre, held in person at our London office in March 2027
Apprenticeship programme
Our apprenticeship programme is designed to help you build a meaningful career whilst gaining a recognised qualification. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience in your role, develop essential business skills and contribute to real work that makes an impact. You'll be supported by experienced colleagues, building the foundations of your career in insurance.
Having recently welcomed a new cohort of apprentices, our next recruitment campaign is not expected to open until a later date. Please check back here for future opportunities.
Grow, Connect, Belong
On both our programmes, you’ll join as a permanent employee from day 1 and benefit from a structured learning and development programme, starting with a comprehensive induction. You’ll join our supportive Early Careers community and be assigned a buddy to help you make connections and settle into life at Velonetic. As a virtual first organisation, flexible working is a given – enabling you to balance work and home life while still having regular time in the office to learn, connect, and grow.
Perspectives from our people
In their own words
Jasmine Ashman, Operations Graduate
Our culture
"People at all levels are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I've felt included and part of the team from the start. Everyone is approachable and open to conversations and questions, no matter how small."
Virtual-first working
"Microsoft Teams makes it easy to reach out to people, and everyone is friendly and responsive. There are also opportunities to collaborate in person, and I attend the office regularly, connecting with my team and others across different departments."
Advice for applicants
"Be confident in your skills, ability and all you have to offer. Don't be put off if you don't know much about insurance, just do your research! Once you join there is a lot to learn, but you'll be immersed in the world of insurance and pick things up as you go."
